# The squares of which of the following would be odd numbers?

(i) 431 (ii) 2826

(iii) 7779 (iv) 82004

We know that the Square of an odd number is odd and the square of an even number is even.

Therefore,

(i) 431Now 431 is an odd number so its square will also be an odd number.

(ii) 2826

2826 is an even number so its square will also be an even number.

(iii) 7779

7779 is an odd number and so its square will also be an odd number.

(iv) 82004

82004 is an even number and so its square will also be an even number.

Here, 431 and 7779 are odd numbers

Hence, the square of 431 and 7779 will be an odd number
