# If length of two sides of a triangle are 6 cm and 10 cm, then the length of the third side can be

A. 3 cm

B. 4 cm

C. 2 cm

D. 6 cm

Answer :

Difference of 2 sides of triangle is always smaller than 3^{rd} side of triangle

Sum of 2 sides of triangle is always greater than 3^{rd} side of triangle

3^{rd} side<10cm + 6cm

3^{rd} side<16cm

3^{rd} side>10cm – 6cm

3^{rd} side>4cm

Then side must above 4cm and below 16cm

∴ 6cm is between them
