# Which of the following can be the length of the third side of a triangle whose two sides measure 18 cm and 14 cm?

A. 4 cm

B. 3 cm

C. 5 cm

D. 32 cm

Answer :

Difference of 2 sides of triangle is always smaller than 3^{rd} side of triangle

Sum of 2 sides of triangle is always greater than 3^{rd} side of triangle

3^{rd} side<18cm + 14cm

3ed side<32cm

3^{rd} side>18cm – 14cm

3^{rd} side>4cm

Then side must above 4cm and below 32cm

∴ 5cm is between them
