Q. 74.3( 211 Votes )

# Find the sum of first 22 terms of an AP in which and 22nd term is 149.

Answer :

We have; n = 22, d = 7 and a_{22} = 149

d is common difference.

We know;

a_{n} = a + (n – 1)d

⇒ 149 = a + (22 - 1)7

⇒ 149 = a + 147

⇒ a = 149 - 147

⇒ a = 2

The sum can be calculated as follows:

= 11*151

= 1661
