Q. 1 D

# Find the roots of the following quadratic equation if they exist.x2 - 6x + 5 = 0

x2 - 6x + 5 = 0

The equation is of the form ax2 + bx + c = 0

Since a≠0 ,so it exists

We use the method of factorization to solve it

x2 - 5x - x + 5 = 0

x(x - 5) - 1(x - 5) = 0

(x - 1)(x - 5) = 0

x = 1,5
