Q. 1 B4.4( 10 Votes )

# Check whether the following are quadratic equation:

x^{2} - 2x = ( - 2)(3 - x)

Answer :

x^{2} - 2x = ( - 2)(3 - x)

LHS = x^{2} – 2x

RHS = ( - 2)(3 - x) = - 6 + 2x

∴ x^{2} - 2x = - 6 + 2x

Or x^{2} - 2x + 6 – 2x = 0

⇒ x^{2} + 6 which is of the form ax^{2} + bx + c = 0

∴ it is a quadratic equation.
