Q. 2 A4.2( 13 Votes )

D and E are point

Answer :

Given: AD = x cm,

DB = (x – 2) cm,

AE = (x + 2) cm and,

EC = (x – 1) cm

By applying Thale’s Theorem,

x(x – 1) = (x + 2)(x – 2)

x2 – x = x2 – 4

x = 4

Thus, x = 4 cm
