⇒ 0.25(4x-5) = 0.75x + 8
⇒ x-1.25 = 0.75x + 8
⇒ x-0.75x = 8 + 1.25(transposing 0.75x to LHS and 1.25 to RHS)

⇒ Hence value of x is 37.
