Sample space contains 36 elements,

A= Number four appears on first die

A={(4,1),(4,2),(4,3),(4,4),(4,5),(4,6)} B=Number 5 on second die

B={(1,5), (2,5), (3,5),(4,5),(5,5),(6,5)} P(AB)={(4,5)}   Therefore A and B are independent events
