There are two equations given in the question:

x + 3y – 4 = 0 …(i)


And, 2x + 6y – 7 = 0 …(ii)


These given equations are in the form a1x + b1y + c1 = 0 and a2x + b2y + c2 = 0 where,


a1 = 1, b1 = 3 and c1 = – 4


Also, a2 = 2 + b2 = 6 and c2 = – 7


Now, we have:




And,



Hence, the given pair of linear equation has no solution
