# Ten years later,

Let the present ages of A and B be ‘a’ and ‘b’ respectively.

Given, ten years later, A will be twice as old as B and five years ago, A was three times as old as B

a + 10 = 2(b + 10)

a = 2b + 10 ------- (1)

Also, a – 5 = 3(b – 5)

a = 3b – 10 -------- (2)

Equating eq2 and eq1

2b + 10 = 3b – 10

b = 20

Thus, a = 2b + 10 = 50
