Q. 2 C4.4( 5 Votes )

Find the products using the algebraic identities.

103 x 97

Answer :

103 × 97 = (100 + 3)(100 – 3)

Using Identity:

(a2 – b2) = (a + b)(a – b)

Take 103 = 100 + 3 and 97 = 100 – 3

103 x 97 = 1002 – 32

= 10000 – 9

= 9991
