# Solve the following systems of equations graphically:

Answer :

For x + y = 4,

Put y = 0, we get x = 4

Put x = 0, we get y = 4

Table for x + y = 4

x + y = 4 passes through (4, 0) and (0, 4)

For 2x – 3y = 3

Put y = 1, we get x = 3

Put x = 0, we get y = -1

Table for x – y = 2

2x – 3y = 3 passes through (3, 1) and (0, - )

Plot the points in the graph,

They meet at point (3,1)

Hence x = 3, y = 1.
