# Find the equation

Given: A (3, 4) and B ( 1, 2) be the given points

To find:

Equation of the right bisector of the line segment joining the points (3, 4) and (-1, 2).

Explanation:

Let C be the midpoint of AB.

C Slope of AB Slope of the perpendicular bisector of AB = -2

Thus, the equation of the perpendicular bisector of AB is

y-3 = -2(x-1)

2x + y – 5 = 0

Hence, the required line is 2x + y – 5 = 0.
