# If each side of a cube is doubled then its volume

A. is doubled

B. becomes 4 times

C. becomes 6 times

D. becomes 8 times

Answer :

Let the side of the cube be a units

Original volume = a^{3}

Now, when each side of the cube is doubled then its volume:

New side = 2a units

New Volume = (2a)^{3} = 8a^{3} cubic units

Therefore, the volume of the cube is 8 times than its original volume

Hence, option D is correct
