Q. 1 B4.2( 17 Votes )
Use suitable identities to find the following products
(x - 5) (x - 5)
Answer :
(x - 5) (x - 5) = (x – 5)2
Using identity (a – b)2 = a2 – 2ab + b2
Here a = x and b = 5
⇒ (x - 5) (x - 5) = x2 – 2 × x × 5 + 52
⇒ (x - 5) (x - 5) = x2 – 10x + 25
Therefore (x - 5) (x - 5) = x2 – 10x + 25
