Q. 2 C4.0( 4 Votes )

Find the zeros of the following quadratic polynomials:

p(x) = 4x2 + 9x + 5

Answer :

Here p(x) = 4x2 + 9x + 5

To find the zeros of p(x), let p(x) = 0

4x2 + 9x + 5 = 0

4x2 + 4x + 5x + 5 = 0

4x(x + 1) + 5(x + 1) = 0

(x + 1)(4x + 5) = 0
x = –1 or x = –

1 and – are the zeros of the quadratic polynomial p(x).
