# Sum of two numbers is 95. If one exceeds the other by 15, find the numbers.

Answer :

Let the number be x.

The other number is 15 more than the number x.

Therefore, other number is x + 15. [ given second number exceeds first by 15]

Now, x + (x + 15) = 95 [ given sum of numbers to be 95]

2 x = 95-15

2 x = 80

x =

Therefore, one number is 40 and other number is 40+15 = 55
