Answer :
Let the total number of pages in the book be x.
Pages read by Reemu = 
If she reads further 40 pages, she would have read
th pages of the book,
On cross-multiplying, we get,
⇒ 5x = 400
⇒ x = 80
∴ Pages read by Reema = Total pages – Pages read
⇒ Required answer = 
∴ 24 pages are left to be read.
