The area of the sector of a circle of radius 10.5 cm is 69.3 cm2. Find the central angle of the sector.
Answer :
Consider the circle shown above,
We know , Area of sector
Where R = radius of the circle and θ = central angle
Given R = 10.5 cm and Area of sector = 69.3 cm2
Let the angle subtended at centre = θ
Put the values of R and area of sector in equation 1
⇒θ = 72°
The central angle of the sector is 72°.
