# Find the point on x-axis which is equidistant from the points (-2, 5) and (2,-3).

Answer :

Points A(-2, 5) and B(2, -3) are equidistant from point P.

Let the coordinates of point are P(x, 0)

Using distance formula =

⇒ PA = PB

On squaring both sides, we get

=

8x = -16x = -2

Hence, coordinates are (-2, 0).
