# If the median of the series exceeds the mean by 3. Find the number by which mode exceeds its mean.

Answer :

Given,

Median = mean + 3

Using empirical formulae

Mode = 3median – 2 mean

Mode = 3(mean+3) – 2mean

= mean + 9

Mode = mean + 9

So, mode exceeds mean by 9
