(ii) 5 will come up exactly one time
Answer :
Total number of possible outcomes, n(S) = 36
(i) Number of favorable outcomes, n(E) = 11 {(5,1), (5,2), (5,3), (5,4), (5,5), (5,6), (1,5), (2,5), (3,5) (4,5), (6,5)}
(ii) Number of favorable outcomes, n(E) = 11 – 1 = 10
