(i) white?

(ii) red?

Answer :

Total number of possible outcomes, n(S) = 12 {3 red balls, 5 black balls and 4 white balls)

(i) n(E) = 4

(ii) n(E) = 3

(iii) n(E) = 5

(iv) n(E) = 9
