Now,

Squaring on both sides,

⇒ 100 = 4 (169 – d^{2})

⇒ 100/ 4 = 169 – d^{2}

⇒ 25 = 169 – d^{2}

⇒ d^{2} = 169 – 25

⇒ d^{2} = 144

∴ Distance of chord, d = 12 cm
