Let the side of the square be a cm.


Now from the figure, we can see that the Diameter of the Circle will be equal to the diagonal of square for largest Square to be inscribed in Circle.


Radius of Circle = 12 cm


The diameter of Circle = 24 cm


Now We know that diagonal of Square for Side a unit = √2 a units


Therefore, √2 a = 24


So we have,


Thus, Side of Square, a = 12 √2 cm


Area of Square = (side)2


Area of inscribed square = (12 √2)2


Hence, Area of inscribed Square = 288 cm2
