# Water is pouring into a cuboidal reservoir at the rate of 60 litres per minute. If the volume of reservoir is 108 m^{3}, find the number of hours it will take to fill the reservoir.

Answer :

The volume o the reservoir is 108 m^{3} = 108000 L

(∵ 1 m^{3} = 1000 Litre)

And, water if poured into the reservoir at the rate = 60 L per minute.

⇒ In 1 min, the water poured in tank = 60 L

⇒ In 60 min (1 hour), the water poured in tank = 60 × 60 = 3600 L

∴Time to fill the reservoir,

= 30 hours
