Given:

Area of trapezium = 300 m^{2}

Perpendicular distance between parallel sides = 15 m

Let one parallel side be x, other side be 16 + x

2 x + 16 = 40

2 x = 24

x = 12

therefore, the sides are 12 m and 28 m
