# If one root of the quadratic equation 3x^{2} - 10x + k = 0 is reciprocal of the other, find the value of k.

Answer :

Let α and β be roots of the quadratic equation 3x^{2} - 10x + k = 0

a = 3 b = - 10 c = k

Then

For any general quadratic equation in the form ax^{2} + bx + c = 0, we have

⇒ k = 3
