Find the nature of the roots of the following quadratic equations:

3x2 –2√6x + 2 = 0

Answer :

Given:

Comparing with standard quadratic equation ax2 + bx + c = 0



Discriminant D = b2 – 4ac



= 24 – 24 = 0


Hence the roots of equation are real and equal.
