Q. 654.3( 10 Votes )

Solve each of the following quadratic equations:

Answer :

Given:

taking LCM

using (a + b)2 = a2 + b2 + 2ab; (a - b)2 = a2 + b2 - 2ab

19x2 - 42x - 15 = 30x2 + 35x - 15 cross multiplying

11 x2 + 77x = 0

11x(x + 7) = 0 taking 11x common

11x = 0 or (x + 7) = 0

x = 0 or x = - 7

Hence the roots of equation are 0, - 7
