Q. 75.0( 1 Vote )
If x + y = 10 and x – y = 2, then value of x is
A. 4
B. – 6
C. – 4
D. 6
Answer :
x + y = 10
⇒ y = 10 – x substituting this value in x – y = 2
We get,
x – (10 – x) = 2
⇒ 2x – 10 = 2
⇒ 2x = 12
⇒ x = 6
