Q. 3 E5.0( 2 Votes )

Simplify the following expressions:

(4a2 – 4ab – 15b2) ÷ (2a – 5b)

Answer :

Factorize the numerator,

4a2 – 4ab – 15b2 = 4a2 + 6ab – 10ab – 15b2

= 2a(2a + 3b) – 5b(2a + 3b)

= (2a + 3b)(2a – 5b)

Now,

= (2a + 3b)
