As per the formula of Sunyam Samaysamuchchaye, its fifth application is used –


If the difference of the numerators & denominators of both the part of the equation are equal.


So adding the denominators,


5x + 7 - 2x - 1 x + 1 - 3x - 5


3x + 6 -2x - 4


Equating both the equations to zero,


3x + 6 = 0 -2x – 4 = 0


x = -2 x = -2
