Q. 9 F

# Find LCM and HCF of the following integers by using prime factorization method:48, 72 and 108

Given numbers are 48, 72 and 108

Factorization of 48, 72 and 108 Here, 22 × 31 are the smallest powers of the common factors 2 and 3 respectively.

So, HCF (48, 72, 108) = 2 × 2 × 3 = 12

24 × 33 are the greatest powers of the prime factors 2 and 3 respectively involved in the given three numbers .

LCM of these three integers = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3 = 432
