Multiplication
Lets take a number 8.
Then, 8 × 1/2 = 4 (i.e. 1/2 multiplied by 8 is equal to 4)
And, if we say, 8 ÷ 2 ( i.e. 8 is divided by 2, is also equal to 4)
Hence, we can say that division is the inverse operation of multiplication.
