During ploughing the land is pressed lightly. Why?
During ploughing the land is pressed lightly due to some reasons:
• It provides proper aeration in the soil.
• Water and other nutrients can seep down into the soil.
• The soil is loosened so that the microbes living in it are not compressed and are able to survive.
• Seeds sown in the soil do not get blown away by wind and remain set.
