India is a secular state. This implies that there is no single state religion propagated by the government. Every individual has the right to practice any religion. Everyone is free to practice whichever religion they want to. Every person has the right to practice, profess and propagate any religion. Nobody will be discriminated on this basis.
The Three objectives of secularism are:
1. One religious community cannot dominate the other.
2. Members of one religious community can not dominate other members of the same religious community.
3. The state does not enforce any religion nor does it take away the religious freedom of individuals
