•As the nationalist movement grew in Vietnam the status of women also changed and a new image of womanhood emerged.
•This was the arrival of a new woman in Vietnamese society.
•Many women had joined the movement against the US forces. They helped in nursing the wounds, constructing underground rooms or tunnels.
•As well as they were fighting with the enemy on the battleground.
•They often neutralized Bombs of US, transport cargos, weapons, and supply food.
•As per need, they worked as a warrior but also as workers.
•Under the Ho Chi Minh trail almost 70%- 80% were women.
•Some stories spoke of their incredible bravery in single-handedly killing the enemy-Nguyen Thi Xuan, for instance, was reputed to have shot down a jet with just twenty bullets.
