Answer :

(i) Difference between Amylose and Amylopecting is as follows:

(ii) The difference between Peptide linkage and Glycosidic Linkage are as follows

(iii) The difference between Fibrous Proteins and Globular Proteins are as follows

(i) Heating with HI, glucose forms n-hexane by reducing the all -OH and -CHO groups, suggesting the straight chain of glucose molecule.

(ii) On the reaction of glucose molecule with acetyl anhydride, glucose pentaacetate is formed, which confirms the presence of five free -OH substituents on glucose molecule.

(iii) On the reaction of glucose with Bromine water, which is a good oxidising agent, the -CHO group gets oxidised to carboxylic acid that is gluconic acid. This indicates the presence of aldehydic functional group in glucose molecule.
