Describe the demerits of democracy.

Great political competition and power play, hence people tend to use unfair means to get into power.


The discussion and consultation at various levels leading to the delay in any process.


Electoral competition tends to increase corruption.


Many people who cast vote are naïve and illiterate and hence unaware of basic facts that lead to choosing of the wrong person.
