Define the word ‘history’.

The word ‘History’ means changes occurred and about the things that happened in the past. We compare the past from the present and bring out details of the “before” and “after” events. History includes information about the battles, big events, rulers and their policies, about how people earned their livelihood, what they produced and ate, how cities developed and markets came up, how kingdoms were formed and new ideas spread, and how cultures and society changed.

Dates play an important role in the determination of history. Historians also recorded information like the year a king was crowned, the year he married, the year he had a child, the year he fought a particular war, the year he died, and the year the next ruler succeeded to the throne. All this information completes the History and includes all the aspects of human society.
