p=pressure

V=volume

We know ideal gas equation

pV=nRt

Where V= volume of gas

R=gas constant =8.3JK-1mol-1

t=temperature

n=number of moles of gas

p=pressure of gas.

Gas constant R=kNA

Where k=Boltzmann constant

So, we can ideal gas equation as

pV=nkNAt

Now, we know that

n=number of molecules of gas ……(ii)

Therefore, from equation (i) and (ii)

Number of molecules of gas= …. (iii)

Using equation (iii) quantity becomes

Hence, quantity depends on the nature of gas.
