Subject: To call attention to the misuse of computers in offices.
Sir,
I, Vineeta, resident of Suryanagar, Ghaziabad, have written this letter to you to grab your attention to the alerting fact that the computers installed in the offices for the quick remittal of work are being misused in playing games and in other activities. My recent visit to a nearby government office brought me to face the insensible attitude of the employees who are exploiting the devices to mail personal messages. In another desk, I saw another middle aged employee rejoicing and shouting loudly with unabashed laughter while playing computer games. Their utter lack of seriousness in the whole process not only hampers the working of the offices in the busy schedules of the day but also decreases the efficiency of transaction by distracting their neighboring colleagues. I believe the government should monitor the process by installing software that would signal the authorities if the devices are used for personal causes. The office authorities should also cooperate by introducing surveillance systems to catch people red-handed.
I shall be highly obliged to you if you publish this in your daily column to highlight this issue to the higher officials in a graver note. I shall be looking forward to your response.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Vineeta.
