The basic principles of a democratic nation include complaints and room to correct these mistakes.
a. The pointing out of mistakes made by the ruling government indicates that both the opposition party and the citizens are aware of what is good for them and what is not.
b. It indicates that people are, indeed, participating in the government proceedings, truly making it a government for the people, of the people and by the people.
c. It indicates that parliamentary formalities such as the check and balance system take place correctly as and when required.
d. It indicates that people are aware of their roles towards the governance of the country, and hence, strengthens the spirit of democracy.
e. It indicates tat the government is indeed functioning properly and efficiently, hence marking the success of democracy.
Hence, complaints are treated as testimony to the success of democracy.
