At the junction PN diode have infinite resistance. To calculate the potential across PN junction, the voltmeter must have higher resistance than junction resistance of the PN junction. If we simply connected a voltmeter it will show the sum of the positive junction contact potentials which will be equal to zero. So the answer is no.
