Can a plastic/wooden object be coated with a metal by electroplating? Explain.
No a plastic/wooden object cannot be coated with a metal by electroplating. To electroplate an object, the substance to be electroplated needs to be a good conductor of electricity so that the process of oxidation or reduction is carried out and wood/plastic are not conductors.
