Q. 22

# Calculate the kinetic energy of a body of mass 50 Kg moving with a velocity of 50 cm

Given,

Mass m = 50 kg

Velocity = 50 cms-1

1 cm = 0.01 m

So, velocity = 50 ×0.01 ms-1

v = 0.5 ms-1

We know,

Kinetic energy = m v2

Substituting value of m and v in the equation:

Kinetic energy =

= kgm2s-2

= 6 J
