We know that, Gravitational force acting between two object is given by:

G is the Gravitational constant = 6.7 × 10^{-11} Nm^{2}/kg^{2}

*m*_{1 }is the Mass of earth = 6 × 10^{24} kg

*m*_{2} is the Mass of sun, *m*_{2} = 2 × 10^{30} kg

r is the distance between the earth and the sun= 1.5 × 10^{11} m

Now, putting all these values in equation 1, we get:

*F* =

*F* = 3.57 × 10^{22} N

The Force exerted on the Earth by the sun is 3.5 × 10^{22} N
