NEET Paper Analysis 2020: The NTA (National Test Agency) successfully conducted NEET (National Eligibility Cum Test) 2020 on 13th September 2020. The exam was taken in a single slot in offline mode. NEET UG 2020 Exam Analysis: Difficulty Level

The overall difficulty level of the NEET UG 2020 exam was Easy to Moderate, however, there are mixed feedbacks of our students, some found:

  • The NEET exam was tricky and lengthy
  • Biology section was easiest
  • The questions asked from the Physics section were easy.
  • The Chemistry section contained a few difficult questions mainly from Organic Chemistry though the overall level of the Chemistry section was easy

NEET 2020 Exam Overview

  • NEET 2020 exam was held at 3842 centres in 155 cities.
  • More than 15.97 lakh students have appeared for the NEET 2020 
  • Approx 85-90% students have appeared for the NEET 2020 exam amid Pandemic situation 
  • From this year onwards, the admissions to MBBS course in the 13 AIIMS and JIPMER will be made through NEET 

NEET 2020 Paper Analysis: Exam Pattern

The pattern was the same as the previous year. All the questions in NEET 2020 were objective-based. The question paper was available in 10 different languages ( English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali Assamese, Gujarati, Oriya and Kannada). The paper had a total of 180 questions for a total of 720 marks. Each question carried 4 marks, with a penalty of 1 mark for every wrong answer. Overall, the paper was easier than last year.

NEET 2020 paper was very balanced overall. As we can see from the table, it was uniformly distributed over XI and XII. However, when we analyse it on the subject level, the story is different.

Compared to last year, NEET 2020 was easier. Physics was direct and less time-consuming. Chemistry questions were directly based on NCERT. Bio section was again a cakewalk for students.

Overall the paper was easier than last year. As per students, almost 80 percent of the questions were easily solvable. NEET Cut off 2020 might rise by 5-10 percent for this session.
